As we celebrate our 5th anniversary here at Casa Mia Coliving, we reflect on the incredible journey that has brought us to this milestone. Over the past half-decade, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming over 1,100 young professionals from around the world into our vibrant coliving homes in Singapore. From students and fresh graduates to working professionals and entrepreneurs, Casa Mia Coliving has been a home away from home for many, and we couldn’t be prouder of the diverse, dynamic community we’ve built together.
Our Story: From Vision to Reality
Five years ago, our founder Ahmed Nizar started from a vision of creating a coliving experience that truly resonates with the needs of global professionals moving to Singapore (you can read more about us, here). We aimed to provide not just a place to live, but a community where individuals could thrive, network, and find their footing in a new city. All of this with flexibility and at the right price.
Our journey began with a simple idea: to make the process of relocating to Singapore as smooth and seamless as possible. Over the years, this idea has grown into a thriving community of over 1,100 members that spans across 76 nationalities; more on that later. Casa Mia Coliving has truly become a melting pot of cultures and experiences.
A Community of Global Citizens
One of the most exciting aspects of our journey is the rich tapestry of backgrounds and stories represented within our community. Our members come from all corners of the globe, bringing with them unique perspectives and experiences that enrich our coliving spaces. You can hear about their journeys, here. But it is more than just providing a room to rent. It’s about creating a space where connections are made, friendships are forged, and opportunities are discovered. And we truly make this our mission - by implementing our screening tool a couple of years ago we ensure that all the members joining Casa Mia Coliving are a right fit for not only coliving but also the community we have built in Singapore.
