Celebrating 5 Years of Casa Mia Coliving - Why Casa Mia Coliving is the Perfect Community in Singapore
2024 also marks a huge milestone for Casa Mia Coliving — our 5th anniversary! Five years ago, we set out with a simple mission: to help young professionals transition smoothly to life in Singapore, all while being part of an inclusive, community-driven environment. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming over 1,100 individuals into our homes, each contributing to the fabric of Casa Mia Coliving. We’re so proud of the journey we’ve taken together and excited for what the next five years will bring.
Record-Breaking Revenue and High Occupancy Rates in 2024
We’ve celebrated multiple record-breaking months; October was definitely a month to remember. We achieved the highest revenue since launching Casa Mia Coliving five years ago, with an impressive occupancy rate of over 97%. Our business has grown steadily, and while the EBITDA margin remains below 10%, we’re proud of the progress we’ve made toward sustainable and profitable growth. These milestones are a testament to the hard work of our team and the trust of our members.
An Active and Engaged Community
Community has always been at the heart of of what we do, and this year, we’ve seen our events calendar explode. October alone saw us host over 40 events, bringing together both new and familiar faces. From game nights and skill-sharing sessions to community hikes and networking meetups, our events have allowed members to connect, unwind, and make lasting memories.
One of the most exciting highlights of this year was our first-ever tennis tournament, a fun, competitive event that brought our community together in a spirit of sport and camaraderie. You can check out some of the photos from the tournament here.
Another standout event was our biggest First Friday of the year, hosted at Tanjong Beach Club. With nearly 100 attendees, it was a true celebration of the vibrant, diverse community that Casa Mia Coliving has become. Check out the photos from the event here.
Growing Diversity in Our Community
This year, Casa Mia Coliving welcomed members from an even broader range of nationalities. In the last year we welcomed 397 new members to the Casa Mia Coliving community which is now composed of individuals from over 50 nationalities. This mix continues to enrich the experience and gives our members the chance to get to meet people from all over the world. Some of the most exciting nationalities to join our community this year include (notable countries).
As our community grows, so does the wealth of ideas, cultures, and experiences that our members bring. It’s this diversity that continues to set Casa Mia Coliving apart as a unique space for personal and professional growth. We look forward to welcoming more members in the next year!
Strengthening Partnerships with Top Singapore Universities
We are proud to continue our partnerships with some of the most prestigious universities in Singapore, including the National University of Singapore (NUS), ESSEC Business School, and Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL). These collaborations have allowed us to provide a seamless transition for exchange students and young professionals coming to Singapore. By offering them a range of rooms and a welcoming environment, we’re making it easier for students to focus on their academic and professional goals while also becoming part of a thriving social community in Singapore.
A Growing Team
As Casa Mia Coliving continues to grow, so does our team. This year, we expanded our operations crew to a dedicated team of 13 individuals, all focused on ensuring that our members enjoy a seamless, comfortable experience. Our in-house cleaners have also been brought on board full-time, replacing outsourced services. This change has helped us improve our operational efficiency, allowing us to maintain our homes to the highest standard and respond to member requests more quickly.
New Homes, New Opportunities
In 2024, we’ve expanded our portfolio with some stunning new homes, including Teresaville 4, a property that offers breathtaking views of Singapore and a beautiful, traditional Lazy Susan in the dining room. This home combines modern luxury with authentic touches, providing our members with a unique and comfortable living space. You can find out more about this property here.
